Greed?

The sin that caught my eye from the Seven Deadly Sins was the sin of greed. I think all of us can relate to it or remember someone who has committed that sin. Greed is the practice of very excessive or rapacious desire and pursuit of wealth, status, and power. I believe most medieval dictators and kinds have committed the sin of greed. They have wanted unlimited wealth and power. Nowadays, everyone is after money and power. We rob, kill, and destroy to just get a reputation, a status that everyone looks up to. The sin of greed is terrible and people will get no where through it. At the end, you might lose everything you have ever built and become nothing. Greed is not a good way to gain wealth and power. Education is the ultimate power you must achieve to gain wealth and power in a peaceful matter.
If I was to be branded with the letter "G" just like the character from The Scarlet Letter, I would feel horrible to know that everyone around me knows that I have committed the sin of greed. It instills that guilt in you that you have committed that sin and you will never forget about it. Every time you look down, you see that branded letter on you. I would eventually get tired of it and the guilt will probably kill me way before anything else does. Guilt is the one thing I can not stand. It kills you inside little by little!
