Hector Becerra and Sam Quinones have published an article, "San Gabriel Valley still feeling effects of windstorm", in the LA Times newspaper. After my area got hit with strong winds and I did not have electricity for three days, I wanted to see what other areas were going through. I found out that in San Gabriel it was disastrous. There are still power outages in the area for over three days now, and crew workers I trying to clean up all debris off the street before they start working. Electricity pole have broken and fallen onto cars, fuse boxes are blown, and the community has been left without electricity. But lucky, these crew have been passing out flashlights, ice, and fresh water to all the residence who are affected. They were hoping they can get all power back by Sunday, but the crew workers are having difficulty getting to some areas. There are too many downed trees on the trees and those need to be cleaned up before anymore progress with the electricity. After I did not have electricity for about three days, I know how difficult it is. If we have any family and friends living in these affected areas, we should gladly accept them into our homes for just a small period of amount until everything is up and going. Most do not have hot water either. You know how it feels not to shower right? Come on, lets help out!
