My Favorite Speech

     My favorite speech from the ones presented last week in class was the "Pearl Harbor Address to the Nation" written by President Franklin Delano Roosevelt. This was my favorite speech because of two reasons. The first reason being, Franklin Delano Roosevelt is my all time favorite president. He has done so much to the United States and effected and changed it in many different way, such as taking us out of the Great Depression. The second reason is, the Pearl Harbor bombing was a very tragic day for all Americans. He suffered many deaths and destruction of land. I will never forget that day, and it will probably stay in all of our hearts. It changed America forever. 

     The topic being very heart felt and emotional, the speakers presented it in a very serious and determined tone. By using this specific type of tone, it grabbed my attention and got straight to my emotions. It was presented in a very good way, and effected me in various ways. Being my favorite speech, it was presented in a good way and it become my favorite presentation of the week. I have to give props to the speakers for there great use of effective language.
