Blogging From Space?

During this era, the parts of the universe we can reach and see are limitless. We are able to see millions of miles away because of modern technology advancements in telescopes. The blog "Mission Update" is written by Steve Squyres. He talks about his flight to Mars and how he commanded a rover through a crater taking pictures. Steve's audience was the whole world and he was trying to inform and interest them in the topic he was talking and blogging about. The occasion of this blog was his landing on Mars in 2006. His subject was life on Mars and the landing of Oppurtunity.
This piece of literature is different from the ones written in the past, because this particular ones shows expression of emotion. It is also a great example of chronological order because Steve clearly states what they are going to do in order. As he is guiding the rover over the land of Mars, he is also taking pictures, giving the audience the perspective he is also capturing. He explains how they are going to go through several craters if they get the chance and take panoramic pictures of everything he sees. By having live pictures, he is letting the audience understand and see what he is talking about unlike in the past, the audience can only imagine and picture what the author could be possibly be talking about in there heads. Nothing was for sure, therefore many descriptive words were used.
